Inclusion Support

We welcome every child and work with families and professionals to make sure each child can thrive in our nurseries.

Our commitment to inclusion

At Busy Little Bees Nurseries, we are committed to the inclusion of all children. We ensure every child is cared for and educated to reach their full potential alongside their peers through positive, shared experiences. Our approach enables children to learn from one another in a supportive, welcoming environment where individual needs are recognised and respected.

No child is ever discriminated against or placed at a disadvantage because of their needs, and we recognise that each child is unique rather than fitting into categories.

How we support your child

Our Teaching and Learning Coordinator holds a Level 3 Early Years SENCO qualification and supports nursery managers, who act as the SENCOs for their settings. Managers have completed SENCO training and support their teams to create and review individual support plans, helping every child access the curriculum. Our staff take part in regular professional development and work collaboratively with outside professionals, including Area SENCOs, Speech and Language Therapists, and Health Visitors.

We provide regular updates and involve parents at every stage — including making referrals and ensuring you are included in all decisions about your child’s care and education.

Graduated Approach & Local Offer

Each nursery follows its Graduated Approach and Local Offer as outlined by its Local Authority. Our teams can help you access information about the Local Offer and understand what support and services are available.

  • The graduated approach is a continuous cycle of assess, plan, do, and review. It ensures support is matched to your child’s needs and adapts as those needs change.

  • The Local Offer sets out services and support available for children and young people with SEND in your area. We can signpost you to your Local Authority’s Local Offer and help you navigate the options.
