Shirley nursery facilities: spaces shaped for every stage.

Four thoughtfully designed rooms guide children from baby to preschool in a calm, consistent way. Every child has a dedicated Key Person, and we pace transitions gently so they move up when they’re developmentally ready.

Messy activities are also a huge part of their daily routine. We recommend you bring spare clothes as our toddler’s love to get messy!

Filled with lots of open-ended resources and real-life items designed to encourage play and learning about the world around them. Natural resources allows the room to be a calming and welcoming space for more magical play. Each child has an allocated key worker. This approach provides a dedicated member of staff who fully understands the learning, development and care needs of each child.

Honey Bees have their own secure garden which enables a free flow system, allowing children to explore, investigate and develop their gross motor skills. The everchanging environment of outdoors is stimulating and provides a multi-sensory place to play.

Prospectus

“With over 20 years of management experience across various sectors, my true passion has always been working with children. I believe in preserving childhood innocence for as long as possible by creating environments where children feel safe, happy, and inspired to believe they can achieve anything.

As a parent to three wonderful children (two boys and one girl, aged 13 to 3), I’ve seen first-hand the incredible variety of personalities, quirks, and needs that make every child unique. There’s no handbook for raising or caring for children, but I believe the key lies in truly listening to them, understanding their world, and offering guidance with patience, empathy, and respect.

I absolutely love my job and feel proud to be part of each child’s journey. My goal is for every child to arrive and leave each day feeling valued, cared for, and part of a wider family, one where they can build secure foundations for life.

To me, nurturing children means remembering what it felt like to be one, when losing a toy felt like the end of the world, or when a disliked food felt overwhelming. Children haven’t yet experienced life’s harder edges, and that’s something to protect, not rush. Helping them navigate the small things now builds the emotional understanding and resilience they’ll need later in life. One of my core mission: to ensure each child is equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed not just today, but in the future.

I’m deeply committed to making sure every child I work with is surrounded by kindness, security, and opportunity. Nurseries should be places where parents feel completely confident leaving their children, knowing they’re not only learning, but being truly seen, supported, and understood.

That’s exactly why I chose to work at Busy Little Bees, and extremely honoured to do so. They embody everything I value in childcare, going above and beyond to ensure every child is cherished and celebrated each day. “
