Busy Little Bees Nurseries operates through four legally separate companies:

• Busy Little Bees Nursery (Shirley) Ltd

• Busy Little Bees Nursery (Hall Green) Ltd

• Busy Little Bees Nursery (Handsworth Wood) Ltd

• Busy Little Bees Nursery (Knowle) Ltd

Although each setting is its own legal entity, the group shares central administration systems, and a single enquiries email address is used for convenience.

The data controller is the specific Busy Little Bees Nursery company that:

• You book a viewing with

• You register your child with

• Holds your child’s records once enrolled

We use a shared administration email address, but your data remains legally controlled by the nursery setting you are dealing with.

Where enquiries do not specify a setting, limited information may be shared internally so the query can be routed to the appropriate nursery.

Your data may be processed outside the UK, but appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

7. Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary:

• Enquiry information: 12–24 months

• Child records: retained in line with EYFS/safeguarding legislation (up to 21 years and 3 months)

• Accident/incident records: up to 21 years and 3 months

• Financial records: 6 years (legal requirement)

• Website analytics: generally up to 26 months

After this, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
